When a Diagnosis Changes Everything: Finding Natural Support in a Complex Journey

Receiving a cancer diagnosis shifts the ground beneath your feet. Suddenly, your days are filled with a whirlwind of appointments, conflicting opinions, and a mountain of information you never asked for.

Amidst all that noise, a quiet but persistent question often emerges: Is there a more natural, gentle way to support the body through this?

If you are asking this, you are not alone, and it is a completely valid question. Many people navigating a diagnosis actively seek out complementary approaches—looking for sensible nutritional protocols, meaningful lifestyle adjustments, and a healthcare provider who views them as a whole person, not just a chart number.

That is exactly the purpose of the upcoming free live event: “When Cancer Enters Your Life: A Live Evening on Immune Resilience with Dr. Michael Karlfeldt, ND, PhD.”

Event Details:

Event Name: When Cancer Enters Your Life: A Live Evening on Immune Resilience with Dr. Michael Karlfeldt, ND, PhD
Event Starts: August 20 2026
Event Cost: Free to Attend Online

Important Medical Context: This webinar is strictly for educational purposes. It explores integrative and naturopathic approaches to support overall well-being. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace conventional cancer care. Always discuss any new supplements, diets, or therapies with your primary oncology team before making changes to your treatment plan.

Meet Your Host: Dr. Michael Karlfeldt, ND, PhD

Dr. Michael Karlfeldt is a board-certified naturopathic doctor with a PhD and over three decades of clinical experience. He is the founder of The Karlfeldt Center in Idaho, a facility dedicated to helping patients from across the country utilize non-toxic, integrative therapies.

His expertise is deeply rooted in rigorous training, including a seven-year apprenticeship under one of Sweden’s most highly regarded naturopathic physicians. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Karlfeldt hosts the series True.Health on Amazon Prime, where he consistently advocates for viewing health as an interconnected ecosystem rather than a series of isolated symptoms.

Who Is This Evening For?

This live session is thoughtfully designed for:

  • Patients who have recently received a diagnosis and are seeking complementary, natural ways to strengthen their body alongside conventional treatment.
  • Caregivers and loved ones—spouses, adult children, parents, and close friends—who are actively researching ways to advocate for and support their family member.
  • Anyone who wants to spend an hour learning from a highly credentialed physician who takes integrative medicine, and their questions, seriously.

No prior medical or naturopathic knowledge is required. You do not need to understand the intricacies of the immune system or have ever heard of the compounds discussed. You only need a genuine desire to learn.

Who Is This Evening NOT For?

To ensure this is the right environment for your needs, please note this event is not designed for individuals who:

  • Are looking to abandon conventional oncology treatments (like chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery) in favor of alternative therapies.
  • Are seeking “miracle cures,” guaranteed outcomes, or quick fixes for complex diseases.
  • Are unwilling to collaborate with their primary licensed oncologist regarding any new wellness protocols.

What YOU’LL DISCOVER

During this interactive, 7:00 PM ET session, Dr. Karlfeldt will break down complex health concepts into plain, understandable language. You will explore:

  • The Integrative Blueprint: What a truly whole-person approach to health looks like in practice, drawn from 30 years of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Foundational Support: How targeted nutrition, daily lifestyle habits, and environmental adjustments can naturally bolster the body during stressful times.
  • Redefining Immune Resilience: Why building a robust immune response is a “long game” of consistent support, rather than a frantic crisis project.
  • The Beta-Glucan Connection: An introduction to this powerful, naturally occurring compound, why it remains under the radar for most people, and why Dr. Karlfeldt considers it a cornerstone of immune support.
  • Unrushed Q&A: A dedicated, live question-and-answer segment where you can get your specific concerns addressed without feeling rushed by a ticking clock.

The Real Benefit: Clarity and Empowerment

The greatest value of this evening is the shift from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered.

When you understand the “why” behind integrative support, you stop feeling helpless. You gain the vocabulary and confidence to have highly productive, collaborative conversations with your conventional medical team. You learn how to be an active, informed partner in your own healing journey, ensuring that every choice you make is aligned with your overall well-being.

HBOT ( Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ) Webinar

HBOT ( Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ) Webinar

Unlock the Incredible Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Imagine a treatment that floods your body with pure oxygen, supercharging your cells and promoting healing from the inside out. That’s exactly what Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) does. This treatment involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber, allowing your lungs to absorb more oxygen than they could at normal air pressure.

The result? A surge of oxygen-rich blood that revitalizes tissues and reduces inflammation. The FDA has cleared HBOT for 13 specific conditions, including decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, and non-healing wounds (FDA consumer update). Uses beyond that approved list — including the applications discussed in this webinar — are considered off-label, meaning they’re being researched but aren’t yet FDA-approved indications. That doesn’t mean the research isn’t worth understanding; it just means it’s still emerging, not settled.

One of the most well-documented personal accounts of off-label HBOT use comes from NFL legend Joe Namath.

Event Details:

Event Name: HBOT ( Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ) Webinar
Event Starts: August 27 2026
Event Cost: FREE to Attend Online

⚠️ Disclaimer:

This Webinar is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Consult a licensed healthcare provider before starting Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) or any new treatment. Individual results may vary.

Joe Namath’s Inspiring Recovery Story

Joe Namath, the Hall of Fame quarterback, has spoken publicly about his experience with HBOT after being diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in his 70s, following at least five documented concussions during his football career. His SPECT brain scans showed reduced blood flow to areas of his brain, and after 120 HBOT sessions over eight months, follow-up scans showed the previously dark areas had lightened, which he and his treating physicians described as a sign of improved blood flow and function (Amen Clinics interview; CBS News).

It’s worth noting this is Namath’s self-reported experience, not a peer-reviewed clinical outcome. As one CTE researcher, Dr. Robert Cantu of the Boston University CTE Center, has publicly stated: “There is no peer-reviewed literature that says it works… prospective double-blinded studies have not proved its efficacy” for traumatic brain injury specifically (CBS 42). Namath himself has helped fund an FDA-registered clinical trial at Jupiter Medical Center to test this more rigorously — which is itself a sign the question isn’t yet settled.

We’re including his story here because it’s a genuinely well-documented, real account — not because it should be read as proof HBOT treats TBI. That distinction matters, and we want to be upfront about it.

What Exactly Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

At its core, HBOT delivers high concentrations of oxygen under increased pressure, which researchers believe supports tissue repair and reduces inflammation. Whether you’re dealing with an FDA-approved condition or looking into the off-label research areas covered in this webinar, HBOT is an active and ongoing area of study.

If you’re curious about how HBOT research is developing, don’t miss Trevor King’s upcoming webinar on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. As the Head Researcher at The Live Better Group, Trevor has dedicated his career to exploring innovative approaches to health and longevity. In this session, he’ll cover the current science behind HBOT and share his perspective on where the research stands.

What You’ll Learn in the Webinar

Here’s a look at what Trevor will cover, along with some added context on where each topic currently stands in the research:

1. The History of HBOT, and Why It’s Not More Widely Used Yet

HBOT has been studied since the 1600s and is well-established for its FDA-approved uses. Its off-label applications for brain and neurological conditions are newer areas of research still working toward broader regulatory approval and insurance coverage — which is a slower, more ordinary process than a “suppression” story, even though it can feel frustratingly slow to patients hoping for faster access.

2. How HBOT May Support the Body’s Healing Processes

Researchers are studying how increased oxygen delivery may support tissue repair and reduce inflammation. This mechanism is well-established for HBOT’s FDA-approved uses; its role in other conditions is still being actively researched.

3. Early Research on HBOT for Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Some smaller studies have explored HBOT for MS symptom management, with mixed results across the research to date. This remains an active but not conclusively settled area of study — worth discussing with a neurologist rather than pursuing independently.

4. Early-Stage Research on HBOT and Memory in Older Adults

A small 2021 study by researchers at Tel Aviv University’s Sagol Center found that six older adults with memory loss showed improved cognitive test scores and increased cerebral blood flow after 60 HBOT sessions over three months (Shapira et al., Aging, 2021). It’s a genuinely interesting early finding — and also a very small study (six participants) that the researchers themselves describe as needing larger follow-up trials before broader conclusions can be drawn.

5. Early Research on HBOT and Alzheimer’s Biology

The same Tel Aviv University research team found that HBOT reduced amyloid plaque buildup in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease, and observed improved blood flow in human patients with memory loss (Shapira et al., Aging, 2021). This is promising early-stage research — mouse-model findings plus a small human pilot study — not evidence that HBOT reverses or cures Alzheimer’s in people. The researchers themselves frame it as a potential prevention pathway worth further study, not a treatment that “rewinds” existing disease.

Why You Should Attend This Free Webinar

If you’re interested in exploring the current research on HBOT and want to hear a thoughtful perspective on where the science stands, this webinar is worth your time. As with any emerging treatment area, we’d encourage bringing what you learn to a conversation with your own doctor before pursuing any new treatment.

Final Thoughts

HBOT is a genuinely interesting and actively-researched area of medicine, with strong, settled evidence for its FDA-approved uses and promising, early-stage evidence for several off-label applications discussed in this webinar. Joe Namath’s story is a compelling real account worth hearing — and it’s most useful alongside the caveat that it’s one person’s self-reported experience, not a substitute for the larger clinical trials still underway.

The Missing Link in Modern Health: Why Information Isn’t Enough (And What Actually Works)

We live in an era of unprecedented access to health information. You can find a dozen articles on the benefits of whole foods, the mechanics of stress management, or the importance of sleep in seconds. Yet, despite knowing what to do, so many of us—and the people we care about—still struggle to make lasting, meaningful changes.

Why is that? Because knowing the science is only a fraction of the equation. The real challenge lies in the messy, beautiful, and deeply human process of actually changing behavior.

If you are passionate about holistic health, whether for yourself, your family, or as a future career, you need more than just a list of dietary rules. You need a bridge between knowledge and action. That bridge is effective, evidence-based lifestyle coaching.

This is the exact focus of the upcoming Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching Workshop, a free, three-day live training experience hosted by the Food Revolution Network.

Event Details:

  • Those looking for a “quick fix” or a magic protocol that requires no behavioral effort, self-reflection, or emotional processing.
  • People who believe that simply handing someone a meal plan is enough to guarantee long-term health transformation (this workshop focuses heavily on the psychology of change, not just the biology).

What YOU’LL DISCOVER

Spanning three immersive days (August 21–23, 2026), the curriculum is built around three core pillars: Nutrition, Coaching, and Impact. You will explore:

  • The Real Science of Longevity: A deep dive into decades of independent research linking whole-food, plant-forward nutrition, quality sleep, movement, and stress management to the prevention of chronic disease.
  • The Psychology of Behavior Change: Why information alone rarely shifts habits, and the specific, evidence-based coaching frameworks that actually help people bridge the gap between “knowing” and “doing.”
  • Navigating the Emotional Landscape of Food: How to skillfully and compassionately handle the complex family dynamics, social pressures, and emotional histories that inevitably arise when discussing diet and lifestyle.
  • Future-Proofing Your Practice: How to ethically leverage emerging tools like AI to scale your administrative efficiency, while preserving the irreplaceable human connection at the heart of true healing.
  • Blueprint for a Sustainable Career: Real-world insights from program graduates on how to build a profitable, burnout-resistant coaching practice, whether as a solo entrepreneur, within a clinical setting, or as a community leader.

The Real Benefit: From Passion to Purposeful Action

Immune For Life

Are you tired of feeling unwell despite seemingly endless doctor visits and medications?

You’re not alone. Millions of Americans deal with chronic health issues, from allergies and fatigue to obesity and cognitive decline. This documentary series, Immune For Life, looks at root causes of these conditions and explores functional and integrative medicine perspectives that go beyond symptom management.

Event Details:

Event Name: Immune For Life
Event Starts: August 17 2026
Event Cost: Free to Attend Online

⚠️ Important Disclaimer: This docuseries discusses chronic illness, immune function, and functional/integrative medicine perspectives. It does not replace diagnosis or treatment from a licensed physician. Never stop or change a prescribed treatment or medication without consulting your doctor.

Why Chronic Illness Is So Common

  • Chronic pain, fatigue, and other unexplained symptoms affect a large share of Americans
  • Cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders remain highly prevalent
  • Roughly 1 in 5 Americans experiences a mental illness in a given year, per NIMH data
  • Obesity rates have risen significantly in both adults and children over recent decades

Immune For Life: What the Series Covers

This 10-part docuseries explores integrative and functional medicine perspectives on chronic illness, alongside a critical look at aspects of the conventional healthcare and pharmaceutical systems.

What You’ll Explore:

  • Potential contributors to chronic illness: environmental factors, lifestyle choices, and stress, as explored from a functional medicine perspective
  • Natural and traditional remedies: approaches sometimes overlooked in mainstream healthcare, discussed alongside their evidence base
  • Personal accounts: individual stories of health changes through lifestyle-focused approaches — worth remembering that individual accounts aren’t the same as controlled research
  • Practical daily habits: general strategies related to energy, sleep, and immune support

Beyond Medication: What’s Covered, With Context

Immune For Life emphasizes addressing root causes alongside conventional treatment, not medication alone. A few specific claims featured in the series are worth a closer, more skeptical look before you take them at face value:

  • The “Ankle Test” for thyroid function: This likely refers to the Achilles reflex test, a real but old and low-sensitivity clinical sign historically used to screen for hypothyroidism. It is not more accurate than modern TSH blood testing — thyroid blood panels remain the standard, evidence-based diagnostic tool. Treat this as an interesting historical clinical sign, not a replacement for lab testing.
  • The mind-body connection and immune function: There’s genuine, real research connecting chronic stress to immune dysregulation — this part is well-supported science, not overstated.
  • Epigenetics: The idea that lifestyle can influence gene expression is real, established science — though the series’ framing of how much control this gives you over specific disease outcomes may be presented more definitively than current research supports.
  • The “Paradoxical Role of the Immune System” claim (that a “strong” immune system can cause chronic illness) is a reference to real immunology — autoimmune conditions do involve immune overactivity — but “boosting” versus “regulating” immune function are different concepts, and marketing language sometimes blurs this distinction.
  • Gut health and autoimmunity: genuinely well-studied — research does connect gut microbiome dysfunction to conditions like Crohn’s disease.

Meet Your Host: Stefan Apostolov

Stefan Apostolov is a lifestyle coach and filmmaker, and CEO of Zonia, a video-streaming platform focused on health and personal development content. He is not a licensed medical or health professional — his role here is as a documentary producer and host, not a clinical source.

Featured Experts

This docuseries features a large number of contributors with varying credentials — some are licensed MDs with mainstream medical training (Joel Fuhrman, MD; Austin Perlmutter, MD; Matt Cook, MD; Terry Wahls, MD), some are naturopathic doctors (ND) or doctors of osteopathy (DO), and some are non-clinical figures whose background is in health advocacy or media rather than direct patient care — for example, Brian Vaszily, listed as a “Natural Health Researcher and Advocate,” has a professional background primarily in health marketing (including as VP of Marketing at Mercola.com and CMO of The Truth About Cancer) rather than clinical research. We’d encourage checking any individual expert’s specific credential type before treating their claims as equivalent to a board-certified physician’s.

Who Is This For?

This is a good fit if you’re interested in functional and integrative medicine perspectives on chronic illness and want to think critically about both conventional and alternative approaches.

This is not a good fit if you’re looking to replace your doctor’s guidance, especially for a serious diagnosis like cancer or an autoimmune condition, or if you’re looking for guaranteed cures rather than perspectives to discuss with your own healthcare provider.
